Obituary
Kimberly Messer, 65 of Lenore, WV, departed this life on March 7, 2023 at Tug Valley ARH Hospital, South Williamson, KY.
She was born February 12, 1958 in Logan, WV the daughter of the late Russell Bryant and Edith Marcum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Marcum and Emma Horn, husband, Paul Messer, brothers, Roger Crum, Charlie Marcum, Delbert Bryant, Eddie Bryant, Douglas Bryant, Walter Bryant, Russell Bryant, Leo Bryant, Newcomb Bryant, and Fattisur Bryant; and nephews, Harrison Marcum, Roger Crum, Jr and Jake Copeland.
Kimberly loved her family, riding hills, her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Susie (Randy) Bryant of Red Jacket, WV, Destiny (Jonathan) Flemings of Dingess, WV, and RosaLee (Brandon) Maynor of Logan, WV; son, Neil (Tresa) Bryant of Ohio; sisters, Emma Jean Marcum of Kermit, WV and Judy Copeland of Collinswood, TN; brothers, Darrel (Liz) Bryant of Detroit, MI, Harrison Bryant of Detroit, James (Gracie) Bryant of Chapmanville, Johnny (Mary) Bryant of Collinswood, TN and Leon Bryant of Thomsonville, MI; sisters-in-law, Lucy Bryant, June Bryant, and Emma Crum; grandchildren, Dakota (Bre) Bryant, Neil Bryant Jr, Kendra Bryant, Hayley Bryant, Lakynn Evans, Alleyonnia Evans, Azelynn Evans, Mitchell Hall, Angelica Hall, Alyssa Hall, and Michael (Lauren) Hall; great-grandchildren, Emma Bryant, Everlee Bryant and one baby girl on the way; three special nephews, Glen (Lisa) Bryant, Boyd (Robin) Marcum and Robert Crum; special nieces, Sissy (Ed Hampton) Pelkey, Drema Adkins, and Deanna Copley; and a host of other nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Mt. Era Old General Assembly Church with Jerry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the Bryant Family Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 12, 2023 beginning at 6:00pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Maynor, Dakota Bryant, Mitchell Hall, Michael Hall and Randy Mayhorn.
Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.
