BELLVILLE: Kimberly Ann Ocheltree, age 59, of Bellville who loved her family deeply and fiercely passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 in Avita Ontario Hospital.
She was born November 25, 1965 in Mansfield to the late Jerry and Linda (Willis) Hursh and graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1982. For a short period of time she worked at Hi-Stat and held some other part-time positions. On October 20, 1984 she married Steve Ocheltree with whom she celebrated 40 years. Once their children were born Kim became a full time homemaker, focusing on raising the kids and keeping the household in order, though she was always busy providing childcare for nieces, nephews, and later grandchildren. She took great pride in a spotless home and impeccable yard, perfect for hosting weekend cookouts and pool days. Not a holiday passed without Kim's special decorations, especially Christmas on Church Street in Bellville. She loved snuggles from her dogs, springtime flowers and sassy smart remarks, but nothing topped all this like the love she had for her family. She was the happiest, luckiest person in the world when her family was all together.
She is survived by her husband Steve Ocheltree, children Tony Ocheltree, Amberly (Chris) New, Katie (Josh) Gettman, and Stephen (Reagan) Ocheltree; grandchildren Maggie and Hunter Ocheltree, Callie and Addy New, Brayden Ruckman, and Rylan and Jaxson Gettman; fur children Skye, Harley, and River; mother Linda Mast; siblings Kelley (Tim) Thrush, Kathi Shafer, Skip (Sara) Hursh, Margaret "M&M" (Brent) Close, Pam (Gerald) Mowry, Rob Hursh; brother-in-law Jeff Ocheltree; nieces and nephews Rob (Alesha) Thrush, Rodney (Kieyra) Thrush, Rachel Thrush, Derek (Jillian) Shafer, Alexis (Thomas) Perry, Jacob Lester and Brittany Smiley; great nieces and great nephews Hailly, Marley, Blakely, Charlee, Paisley, Lincoln, Griffin, Beckett, Baker, Bella, Mia, Hayden, and Liam; an dear friends Shelley Blackford, Lori Hinger and Brent White.
Kim was preceded in death by her dads Gerald Hursh and Tom Mast; nieces Jenny Ocheltree, Melissa and Amanda Shafer; sister Sherry Shafer; great nephew Brody Thrush; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Fred and Ida Ocheltree.
No formal services will be held at this time, however, memorial donations in honor of Kim may be made to the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund, https://helpmepat.org/help-fight-breast-cancer/#donate.
