Kimberly Denise Pearson was born on November 20,1981 in Atlanta, Ga. She was the daughter of Mattie L. and James G. Pearson Jr. Kimberly was a graduate of Henry County High School Class of 2000 in
McDonough, Ga where she was a proud Henry County Warhawk Basketball player. Kimberly confessed Christ as her savior at an early age and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in
McDonough, GA.
Kimberly was a dedicated and hardworking woman. After graduating from high school, she chose to pursue her passion by attending cosmetology school and provided services while working at local salons. Over time, she discovered a growing passion for the retail industry, where she went on to build a successful career. Kimberly began her retail journey at ROSS. Her strong work ethic and leadership skills resulted in her rising into several leadership roles. Wanting to continue advancing, she took on the role of Assistant Store Manager at Conway Stores. Kimberly eventually transitioned to Goodwill where she was employed as a Store Manager and supported multiple locations as needed. She was employed with Goodwill for approximately seven years and eight months, continuing to give her all until her health began to decline.
Although Kimberly worked hard to help customers who came in and out of her retail stores, during her free time she found a fulfillment in retail therapy. What brought Kimberly the greatest joy, was spending time with her children, her family, friends and soul sisters. Kimberly loved hard and was a nurturer by nature. Her four children were her pride and joy - the center of her world.
Kimberly's gentle, sweet smile and her unwavering strength was her known traits. She was a "make it happen" kind of mother - no matter the obstacles, she always found a way to provide for her children and family. She taught her children to be there for one another and to have each other's back. Though she was Mattie and Jimmy's baby girl, Kimberly was a big sister to everyone. She was the family's biggest cheerleader, always offering encouragement and support to those she loved. Despite long hours at work and taking time to care for her children, Kimberly still found time to care for other children who crossed her path, raising them as her own.
On April 23, 2025, Kimberly departed this early life at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital alongside her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents James G. Pearson, James E. Lemons and Rosebud Lemons; uncle Eddie Dean Peason, Carl Lemons, Jimmy Lemons; aunt Tammie P. Jackson.
