Kimberly J. (Day) Presutti, 60 of Byfield, died on Thursday, August 21st at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her husband Dean by her side. Kim fought a courageous ten-year battle with cancer.
Kim and Dean loved each other dearly and shared 38 incredible years together. She always said it was amazing that they still liked each other after all that time.
Born in Beverly on April 3, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Jackson) Day and beloved wife to Dean A. Presutti.
Kim was a graduate of Manchester High School and attended North Shore Community College. Kim loved boating and was always the captain with her husband Dean serving as her First Mate. She was also a classic car enthusiast, an animal lover and enjoyed renovating their old farm in Byfield. Kim also loved the casino and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas.
Kim was a Vice President of NRT Bus for many years and most recently was a Vice President of Commercial Development at Beacon Mobility. Kim made many friends over the years working in the transportation industry.
Kim is survived by her husband, Dean Presutti of Byfield, her brother, T. Day of Coco Beach, FL, her sister-in-law, Jodi Harris and her partner, Mark Ellis, her niece, Kate Mineo and her husband, Nathan and their children, Sawyer and Andrew, her nephew, Alexander Harris and his wife, Chloe, all of Essex, her best friends, Lisa and Lance Rickard of Groveland, Cindy and Brian Mackenzie of Beverly, Christine and Robbie Valcourt of Methuen, Donna and Rick Naples of Billerica as well as her faithful German Shepherds, Azi and Gunner.
A special thanks to Lisa Rickard for helping care for Kim over the last few months.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her stepfather Flash Gordon of Manchester as well as her in-laws Dot and Buz Presutti of Essex.
Her graveside funeral service will be at the Spring Street Cemetery in Essex, MA on Tuesday, August 26th at 12pm. Kim requested casual clothing, no need to dress up she said. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kim's memory to Kaplan House / Care Dimensions, Suite B-102, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
