Kimberly Kay (Keen) Rose, just freshly 57 young years of age, passed away Saturday, August 27th, 2022. Born August 25th, 1965, this gracious and loving woman of God leaves behind a wake of heartache and sorrow falling upon a husband of 35 years, Billy Rose, her children, Vinnie and Samantha, as well as her adored grandchildren, Bentley Wayne and Sunshine Lilly. Also leaving behind her sister, Dawn (Thomas) Purdue, and nieces, Emily Morgan and Elizabeth Kay. Also grieving deeply is her brother, Tony (Kathy) Keen, nephew Anthony, nieces Amber and Cheyenne. She is preceded in her journey to heaven by her parents, Earl C and Rachel Keen. There's no doubt he was waiting at the gate with arms open wide as she had been profoundly impacted by his passing just a short 5 years ago.
Kim was a very strong believer in Christ and had a very personal and authentic relationship with her savior, Jesus Christ. Along her journey through her lifetime of warm love and compassion, she touched thousands of hearts of all ages. She was a teacher's assistant for 18 years in the Decatur Township that she graduated from, and was a devout Decatur Central Hawk fan. She was often seen surrounded with children seeking the teachings of scholastics as well as discipleship, which she mastered instinctively like a second nature. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4:00pm -7:00pm and on Friday there will be a brief vistiation from 9:30am to 10:00am with the funeral service starting at 10:00 am at Valley Mills Christian Church. Burial services will be at West Newton Cemetery. There will be a luncheon at the church.
