Kimberly Sue Schenauer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly S. Schenauer, affectionately known as Kimmie, who left this world on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the age of 55. Kimmie was born on November 7, 1969, in Muncie, Indiana, to Eugene and Joyce Shaffer. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.
Kimmie was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a loving and nurturing environment for her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was collecting shot glasses from her travels or taking long walks in the sunshine. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her grandchildren, Darrin, Mariah, and Zayla, who brought endless laughter and love into her life.
Kimmie is survived by her devoted husband of 15 years, Dave Schenauer, her cherished son, Brady Shaffer, and her beloved grandchildren, Darrin Turpin, Mariah Livingston, and Zayla Livingston. She is also survived by her dear sister, Joann Shaffer, and she is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Joyce Shaffer. Kimmie was a proud aunt to her nieces, Ashley and Amanda Borsan, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
As we remember Kimmie, we celebrate her spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering love for her family. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A private memorial service will be held to honor Kimmie's life and the beautiful memories she created. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her name, reflecting her generous spirit and love for others.
