Kimberly “Kat” Shea, 60, of Mt Alto, WV, passed away January 2, 2026 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1965, the only daughter of Frank D. and Barbara A. Stalnaker Hathaway.

Kat attended Wirt County High School and later Parkersburg Beauty College. She owned and operated two beauty salons, “Images”, in Wirt County. She was very creative with her styles and made glamour shots a thing. Kat had a magic about her and always found the beauty in life. She also worked as the dog warden of Wirt County. Kat was an animal lover, always taking in strays and finding them homes.

She made it to level 60 Goddess and was truly magical in all aspects of her life. It is believed she used the last bit of her magic to make it home long enough to celebrate one last beautiful Christmas and make her famous peanut butter balls for the family to enjoy.

Kat is survived by her only daughter, and best friend, Brianna Hathaway and husband, Jay Elliott; two granddaughters, Madison and Chelsea Elliott; two brothers, Terry (Teresa) Hathaway of Washington and Rick (Donna) Hathaway of Parkersburg; and sister-in-law, Sue Hathaway of Washington, WV.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Tim Hathaway.

In honoring Kat’s wishes, there will be no services.

Lambert Tatman Funeral Home have been entrusted with Kat’s final wishes, and are honored to serve her family.
