Kim was born on March 29, 1966 to John and Mary Sodermark in Chicago, Illinois. Kim was the beloved wife and best friend to Kenneth Swanson who she was married to for 31 years before her passing. Kim dedicated her life to her 3 children Tina, Nicole, and KJ. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend and touched many lives with her kindness, warmth and generosity.
Kim was predeceased by her mother Mary Sodermark and daughter Cristina "Tina" Quintero-Swanson. She is survived by father John F. Sodermark, brother John F. Sodermark Jr., husband Kenneth A. Swanson, daughter Nicole Champagne (Swanson)- husband Daniel Champagne, son Kenneth "KJ" Swanson, and grandchildren Ryder Lynch and Charlotte Champagne.
There are no events planned as Kim did not wish to have services.

She was my Kimmie. Sisters by choice she would say. Every time we talked she started with "Hi Krick" in a way that only she could do. She was my other big sister. I love you so very much and will miss you for the rest of my life. I would say "I miss your face" and she loved it. I miss your face Kimmie. I love you.
