Kirby Noye, 81, passed away on August 3, 2024 with his loving wife, Marjorie, by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Marion (Baethig).
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marjorie (Phillips); his children, Christopher and Kimberly (Brian) Rice; and his grandchildren, Ella Rice, Brayden Noye, Owen Rice, Anna Rice, and Carly Noye.
Kirby was born in Buffalo, NY on April 3, 1943 and moved to Swarthmore, PA when he was seven. He graduated from Bates College and received his Masters in Business Administration from the Simon School at University of Rochester. He also served six years in the Army National Guard in Rochester. Upon graduation from the UofR, Kirby started working at the Sybron Corporation and continued working for the company through its many iterations, the final being Getinge, for over 40 years. He married Marjorie in 1973. They enjoyed traveling with their family each year to Muskoka, Ontario, Canada where Kirby loved boating and being on the water. He was a devoted father with a great sense of humor who enjoyed telling stories from his past to entertain them. Kirby also had a talent for projects, from building a treehouse for himself while the kids were in college, to constructing a bedroom for Kimberly combining attic, garage and closet space.
Kirby will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 8, 11AM at First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford, 21 Church St. Interment to follow at Pittsford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 200 Meridian Centre Blvd., Ste. 110, Rochester, NY 14618 or www.alz.org/rochesterny.
