Kirk Denham Obituary
Kirk was born in De Kalb, Texas, and was the son of the late Robert and Freda (Swisher) Denham.
His family later moved back home to the area, where he graduated from Northwestern High School in 1970. Following his education, he began working as a mechanic and was employed by several garages in the area. He later worked in the oil and gas industry and drove truck for a short time. Kirk eventually became a heavy equipment operator and even worked in demolition. He continued this line of work for over 30 years until his retirement in 2016. In retirement, Kirk remained a busybody with many hobbies and also drove bus for Northwestern High School.
Kirk was an outdoorsman who loved hiking, kayaking, and camping with his family. He built his own Jeeps and founded the Albion Fair Truck Pulls in 1978. He was also a member of the Albion Moose Lodge #381. Above all, Kirk loved his family and spent as much time with them as he could.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Tracy Denham; sister, Eva McClenahan; brother, Robert Johnson; brother-by-choice, Phil Johnson; father-in-law, Al Burns; brothers-in-law, Albert Burns and Chuck Peterson.
Kirk is survived by his loving family, including his wife of over 43 years, Cathryn (Burns) Denham; sons, Joshua Denham and Justin Denham (Kristen); sister, Choyce Peterson; brothers, Kenneth Johnson (Sue), Allen Denham (Kathy), and Ronald Denham (Debbie); grandchild, Kendyl Denham (Braydan); mothers-in-law, Lynne Pulakos Burns and Janice Tower; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kirk's name may be made to Happy Bark Dog Rescue, P.O. Box 9062, Erie, PA 16505.
Friends may call on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Edder Family Funeral Home, 309 Main Street East, Girard, PA 16417.
