Kistan Mashburn, aged 2, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. During this time, family and friends were welcome to pay their respects and offer their condolences to the grieving family.
The funeral service took place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, at the Washington Christian Church in Washington. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Jim Stark.
Burial will be held later at Washington City Cemetery in Washington.
Kistan was born on July 6, 2021, in Marysville to loving parents Kyle and Holly (Goodwin) Mashburn. Despite his young age, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing in water, and visiting the playground. Always filled with energy, Kistan loved watching his favorite shows like Coco Melon and Paw Patrol. He had a penchant for wearing his dad's hats and cherished moments spent with his beloved pets. Kistan was just an ordinary little boy who brought joy to those around him.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Goodwin and Ron Mashburn; as well as great-grandparents Buddy and Rita Goodwin and Marion and Doreen Spiller.
Kistan is survived by his parents; grandmothers Marlene Goodwin and Jean Spotts; godfather Rex Broxterman; sisters Alexis (Brett Hartley) Bochy, Carnessa Bochy, Chyna (Greysyn Martin) Bochy; as well as numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who mourn his loss.
In remembrance of Kistan Mashburn's life, a memorial fund has been established for the Mashburn Family. Those who wish to contribute may send their contributions to Ward Funeral Home.
