Kit Carson Adams

Jonesboro� Kit Carson Adams, 68, died Thursday, November 20, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born February 29, 1940 in Valley View to the late William and Christine Adams and lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He was a self-employed truck driver and was a Baptist. He enjoyed fishing and telling his grandchildren ghost stories. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Ann Adams of the home; a daughter and her husband, Tonya and Raymond Mitchison of Corinth, Miss.; a brother and his wife, Terry and Georgia Adams of Marmaduke; three grandchildren, Tony Mitchison, Michael Mitchison and Tiffany Brown. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Don Adams. A graveside service will be held, Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kellers Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Visitation will held Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The family request lasting memorials to the St. Jude Children�s Research Hospital or the LaBonheur Children�s Hospital in Memphis.
