PARAGOULD - Mrs. Wanda Mae Pickle, 80, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Mrs. Pickle was born Jan. 10, 1944, at Monette to the late Elbert and Parthena Emagene Thompson Burks.
She lived in Renton, Wash., for 60 years and was formerly of the Dixie community near Lake City. She was a homemaker and loved fishing, playing pinochle and going on cruises, and was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pickle is survived by her loving husband, Leslie R. Pickle; one son, Rob (Susie) Pickle of Las Vegas; two sisters, Mary (Bob) Caldwell of Lake City and Linda Byers of Paragould; and a nephew, Justin Byers of Paragould.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Hafer, brother-in-law, Gaylon Hafer, a niece, Beth Hafer, brother-in-law, Dennis Byers, and her husband's parents, Raymond and Ruby Pickle.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with the Rev. Albert Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Keller's Chapel Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Thomas Johnson, Doug Johnson, Don Johnson, Justin Byers, Eddie Flynn and Mike Bishop.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
The family requests lasting memorials be made to Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 3329 Arkansas 135 South, Lake City 72437, or a charity of your choice.
Services are under the direction of the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
