Klara Pedersen Obituary
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and the favorite Aunt Louise to all nieces and nephews. She was very giving and a kind person to all that met her and she loved her church and her daycare that she had. She was a longtime resident of Portsmouth, her passions were doing ceramics (especially for the church) and arts and crafts and teaching (many people) how to paint ceramics. She also loved going to spend time at her beloved camp in NH. She was a bus monitor in her later years for the Portsmouth bus company. She was very involved with her church family at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Newport for her whole life; and we can't forget the love of gardening she had.
Klara was is survived by her former husband William T. Sinnott III and her children; Nancy (and her husband Mark) Coolidge of Harwood, ND, and Karen (and her husband Eric) Nekrasz of Lewisville, TX, her grandchildren Andrew Coolidge, Sara (and her husband Tim) Harris, Stephanie Nekrasz, Samuel Nekrasz, and her great grandchildren Zachary Harris and Liam Buckhardt. She also leaves her sister Karen Traverse of Kingston NY and many loving family members. Certainly, many of her daycare children who called her "Aunt" Louise too, will miss her.
Klara is preceded in death by her brother Bjarne Marten Pedersen, their parents, and their stepmother Edith (Sestrom) Pedersen.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 18, from 3:00-7:00pm at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, at 10:00am at St.Peter's Lutheran Church, 525 Broadway, Newport. Burial will follow in Portsmouth Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 525 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.
