Marie Annette "Mikki" Chaffee

Marie (Mikki) Marcucci Chaffee, (90), passed away peacefully in Plymouth, MA on 03/09/2026.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, John B. Chaffee in 2020. She is survived by two children, Michael Phenner of Dover, NH, and Jennifer Cummins (Andrew) of Portsmouth, RI and three stepchildren Lori Eitelbach (Jerry) of Jonestown, TX, Karen Burgan of Tucson, AZ and Thomas Chaffee (Shannon) of Portland, OR. She also leaves four grandchildren: Nicholas Phenner, Nathaniel Phenner, Cara Cummins and Lauren Cummins and six step grandchildren: Kymberly Martin, Adam Burgan, Luke Burgan, Jared Burgan, Spencer Chaffee and Avery Chaffee. In addition, she had six step great grandchildren.

Mikki was born in Quincy, MA, the youngest of the five children of Charles and Mary Marcucci, who immigrated from Italy. She attended Quincy High School and then received a BA from UMass Amherst where she studied English and journalism. UMass is where she first met John…however, their lives would take separate paths for several decades.

She married Francis Phenner and started her family in Connecticut where she was a school teacher. She later moved to Plymouth, MA where she began her career in real estate. She went on to have a very successful and prominent career as a real estate broker for decades and formed her own company with colleagues, Plymouth Port Realty (which later became Coldwell Banker, Plymouth Port). She was a very active citizen in Plymouth, on several boards and committees (Historic District Commission, Charter Review Committee, Plymouth Downtown Harbor Committee), was a town meeting member and served as the director of the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mikki loved spending time with her family, cooking, entertaining, playing bridge, gardening, traveling, the beach, the ocean and she was an avid reader. She was an amazing mother/Nonni, a great friend and an excellent business woman.
