Ronald Peck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartmell-Davis Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. - Main Office on Mar. 5, 2026.
Ronald R. "Ron" Peck, 82, of Belgrade, Maine, formerly of Plymouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Ron was the devoted husband of Bonnie (Trask) Peck, with whom he shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. High school sweethearts, Ron and Bonnie both graduated from Plymouth High School in 1961, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to family.

Born on April 14, 1943, to Warren H. Peck and Mary (Costa) Peck, Ron was the youngest of four brothers. He was predeceased by his brothers Warren G. Peck, Harold C. Peck, and Earl Kenneth Peck. Growing up in Plymouth, Ron developed the strong values and work ethic that would guide him throughout his life.

Ron proudly served his country in the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1969 and was called to active duty in May of 1968 during the Vietnam era. His commitment to service continued throughout his life as a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 40, Plymouth Masonic Lodge AF & AM, Scottish Rite, Aleppo Temple Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters, Church of the Pilgrimage, Plymouth Rod & Gun Club, Arnold Trail Sportsman Club of Sidney, Maine, and the Unity Club of Plymouth.

A respected and successful businessman, Ron founded Peck's Floor Covering in 1968, later known as Peck's America's Carpet Gallery. Together with Bonnie, he built and operated the business until 2003, earning the trust and friendship of customers throughout Plymouth and the surrounding communities. His integrity, craftsmanship, and personal touch left a lasting mark on all who worked with him.

Above all else, Ron was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie; his sons, Richard G. Peck and his wife Susan of Rockland, Steven B. Peck and his wife Helen of Kingston, and Christopher A. Peck of Maine. He was a proud and loving "Papa" to six grandchildren: Nicholas Peck of Plymouth, Brendon Peck of Rockland, Dana Peck of Denver, Colorado, and Cassandra, Grace, and Joshua Peck of Kingston.

Ron's greatest joy was bringing family and friends together, especially at his home in Maine. He found deep happiness in the outdoors-hunting, fishing, boating-and took special pride in passing along his love of nature to his grandchildren. Whether on the water, in the woods, or gathered around a table filled with laughter, Ron created memories that will be cherished for generations.

His steady presence, generous spirit, and warm smile will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital Burn Center @ shrinerschildrens.org or the Alzheimer's Association @ alz.org

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Cartmell–Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth.
