Kneodah Fay Reynolds, 90, of Snyder, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2025 at her residence. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Kneodah or "Kay" to her friends, will always be remembered as someone who cherished her family, helped others and could brighten any room with her witty personality and laughter.
Kneodah was born on March 23, 1935, in Abilene, to Dee Lafayette and Caroline Milberry Kimbrough. Growing up, she loved playing sports, singing and caring for her younger sister, Linda. In 1954, she married Earnest Ray Reynolds, Jr. and later became a stay-at-home mother to her two daughters, Vicky and Christy. When she became a grandmother, to say that she doted on her two grandchidren, Kaylee and Gracie, was an understatement. She loved them so much that she insisted that she and Earnest move closer to them and build a home in their backyard so she could see them every day. There wasn't a more nurturing human being than she was.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Captola Amrein; brothers, Arthur, Thurman and Bobby Kimbrough and unborn granddaughter, Allison Joy Rush.
She is survived by a sister, Linda Sheffield of Varnville, SC; two daughters, Vicky Loven of Snyder and Christy and husband John Rush, of Snyder; and two granddaughters, Kaylee Rush of Katy and Anna Grace Rush of Waller.
A graveside service will be held on November 17 at 1 p.m. at the VA Cemetery in Abilene. In honour of her generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made to the Alpha-1 Foundation at alpha1.org in lieu of flowers.
