Mrs. Rachel Martin was born on October 17, 1938, to Arnold and Johnnie Gayle (Hensen) Lips in Temple, Texas. She passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025 at Snyder Oaks Care Center.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband Bobby Martin of Snyder, TX;
Daughters Melody Martin and husband Lane of Hermleigh, TX;
Jennifer Poe and husband Johnny of Snyder, TX;
Sister Dianita Driver of Belton;
Grandchildren Ben Poe and wife Lora of Snyder, TX;
Daniel Poe of Tyler, TX; and Logan Martin and wife Sarah of Hermleigh, TX;
Great-Grandchildren Savannah Poe, Noah Poe, and Delilah Martin
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Gayle LIps
Mrs Martin grew up on a farm in Heidenheimer, TX. She graduated from Temple High School and attended Abilene Christian College where she met the love of her life, Bobby Martin. Mrs. Martin was a professional watercolor artist and loved painting barns, landscapes, and seascapes. She was a member of the West Texas Women's Art Association and a longtime member of the 37th Street Church of Christ. She loved fishing, traveling, and being with her family. She lit up every room with her smile and sense of humor.
A visitation will be held from 4-5 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Bell-Cypert-Seals Funeral Home in Snyder
A funeral service for Mrs. Martin will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 17, at the 37th Street Church of Christ with Joey Cummings officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
