Kody Heath Wright, 26, of Stuarts Draft, entered into eternal life on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.
He was the loving husband of his devoted wife, Jessica Carolyn Weeks Wright, for a short but irreplaceable time and the father of his sweet baby girl, Mary-Clare Eden Wright. He is also survived by his parents, Kevin Heath and Kimberly Jo Wright; his siblings Kellan, Kylie, Karson and Kara; his in-laws, Blayne, Shelly, and Derrick Weeks; his paternal grandparents, Robert Ernest and Wanda Lee Wright; his maternal grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Kody was a true joy and beloved friend of so many. He was the heart and soul of the family, always bringing everyone together with his constant love and connection.
He was employed by Wintergreen Resort where he showcased his intelligence and skill in their IT department.
Kody was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross in Crozet, where his love for the Lord and devotion to the Eucharist grew exponentially.
He will be remembered for his love of chess, bowties, game nights, funny socks, and his love for wrestling and golf.
Kody's genuine love for others, his wit, his contagious smile and laugh, and his ability to ride a unicycle while juggling will not be forgotten.
The Burial Rite with Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Memorial Baptist Church in Staunton with the Reverend Blake Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM.
Interment will follow at Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton.
It is suggested, in lieu of flowers, that donations in Kody's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
