Konnie Harstad, 77 of Herman, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her home.
Konnie Kae Harstad was born October 3, 1946, in Mankato, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Elbow Lake High School. After high school, Konnie attended beauty school in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
On February 26, 1966, she married Stanley Harstad at Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The couple would spend some time in Minneapolis before settling in Herman, Minnesota. Konnie was employed at different places over the years.
The couple was blessed with two children, Heidi and Jason, and Konnie loved being a mom. She was the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it, and was always just a phone call away. Konnie was a fighter, and a 10-year breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed watching sunsets, reading mystery novels, feeding the birds, and her pets. But mostly Konnie enjoyed shopping and playing scrabble. She was a very competitive player and a savvy shopper.
Konnie and Stanley spend winters in Arizona, and always loved a visit from her grandchildren. Even though they didn’t live close by, she would attend any event that she could that involved them.
Konnie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stanley; children, Heidi (Brian) Rogers, Jason (Tracy) Harstad; grandchildren, Amanda Harstad, Samantha Harstad, Nicole Rogers, Paige Rogers, Parker Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Andrew, Axel, and Alayna.
She was preceded in death by her parents and other family members.
Blessed be the name of Konnie Harstad. May she be at peace.
