Korey Alexander Bryant

Korey Alexander Bryant, 34, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Sunday September 25, 2022. He was born February 20, 1988 in Chillicothe, Ohio to William Bryant and April Slaughter Bryant both of Waverly. Also surviving are his children, Scarlett Bryant of Beaver and Illya Bryant of Waverly; brothers, William (Kerri) Bryant of Chillicothe and Jeremy (Heather) Bryant of Chillicothe; sister, Kalee (Brian) Luke of Spring Hill, Tennessee; and nephews and nieces, Jacob, Abgail, Carter, Cohen, Landis, Lydia and Sarah. Korey is preceded in death by a brother, Jason Maloy and his grandparents, Paul and Helen Slaughter and William Bryant and Betty Skinner and his dear friend, Ally Thomas.
Korey was a 2006 graduate of Waverly High School where he excelled as a student athlete in football and track. He then went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the United States Army. During this time, he served a fourteen month deployment in Iraq. In addition to Korey's athletic talent, he was also musically and artistically gifted. Korey's presence always brightened every room as his amazing energy and fun-loving nature brought joy to everyone he encountered. Korey's greatest joy in life came from his two beautiful children, whom he adored.
A private family graveside will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 at Omega Cemetery.
