Korlene Louise Pomerville, 86, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Upstate University Hospital. She was born on January 24, 1939 to the late George & Freda (Bristol) Pomerville in Watertown, N.Y. and lived there for a period of time before moving to Syracuse for the remainder of her life. She was employed with St. Joseph's Hospital as a clerical worker for over thirty years before retiring in 2001. Cherished by those fortunate to cross her path, Korlene endeared herself to all with her contagious humor; always lifting spirits and spreading light wherever she went. She enjoyed hobbies like crafting homemade rosaries, doodling and sketching religious and nature related drawings, and going to church - she was a lifelong member of Assumption Church. Korlene is survived by her four sisters, Joyce Converse, of Palermo, and Patricia Porter, Helen Moore, and Beatrice Huberdeau, all of Watertown; her dear best friend, Pamela Speach; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass in celebration of Korlene's life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in Assumption Church, 812 N. Salina St. Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
