Krikor Yessayan

Krikor Yessayan passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the age of 90 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to his late parents Yessaye and Lusaper Yessayan on July 24, 1935, in Aleppo, Syria. He immigrated to the United States as a young man. He continued his education at Chicago Technical College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He met his future wife Mary on a blind date in Burlington, Iowa. Mary was completing her nursing degree and Greg was working in the area. They married at Anson Community Church on October 3, 1964, in Missouri. They started a family and moved to Burlington, Iowa, then moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan and Indiana. In 1986, they settled in northeast Ohio.

Greg was an avid reader. He followed politics closely and loved to talk or debate with others about all areas of life. His favorite activity was going out for meals with Mary and trying different restaurants.

Greg survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann Yessayan (nee Young); daughter Tanya M. Doss (Kevin); grandsons Caden Doss and Luke Doss and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Edward Suran Yessayan, and three siblings.

Services for Greg will be held at Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH 44011 on Thursday, April 2, 2026, with visitation at 10:00 am and a memorial service following at 11:00 am.
