"This is ole Kris" was always his phone introduction, probably his intro when he arrived at the gates of Heaven! Our time together was sometime back, but I always knew i could count on Kris, and I did when times got a little tough for me and he came through. For the last 30 years, at least once a year (usually in January) he'd call me up and check up on me and we'd catch up. I met Kris in the late 70's as he was starting his farming career and it was obvious to those who knew him his success was assured. Kris always held to his values. A real farmer, a man of integrity, and a friend. I'll miss my call this year.

I had the pleasure to do grain and fertilizer business with Kris for 25 years. You won't meet a better customer or man. Ol' Kris will be missed....

My condolences to the family. I met Kris when I asked permission to ride my horse on his farm ground and he was surprised that I had asked permission, said most just ride without asking. He called me "neighbor" when I'd see him farming south of us. Nice man. Heartfelt sympathy.
