Kristee Barbaree

Kristee Barbaree, age 50, a resident of Banks, AL died Friday, January 2, 2026 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:00 am at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Pea River Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church.
Kristee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a woman who lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every bit of it. She loved to travel and see everything she could. Her strength and courage fighting over the last three years was evident to anyone who knew her. With her passing she finally won her battle and joined her savior in her eternal home. Perhaps above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Kristee is survived by her husband Mike Barbaree; children: Alexis Oakes (Tanner), Gage Horn (Lacey), Nic Barbaree (Amanda), Chris Barbaree (Alexis) and Katie Barbaree (Josh Stephens); grandchildren: Ella K. Oakes, Everlea Oakes, Hadley Rae Horn, Dawson Barbaree, Paxton Barbaree, Arya Barbaree and Alina; sister, Kim Singleton; father, Jim Abercrombie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Myra Littlefield.
Memorials in Mrs. Barbaree's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
