Kristen Koester Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Kristen Ann Koester, a lifelong resident of Clawson, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2025, at the age of 59. She was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, to her parents, Craig and Judith Koester, and was the middle of the celebrated Koester triplets-the first girl triplets of 1965.
Kristen's professional life was marked by 15 years of dedicated work as a medical biller for Trinity Health, where her compassion and strong work ethic were greatly appreciated by her colleagues and patients alike.
A devoted sports fan, Kristen's passion for the Detroit Lions was undeniable. She followed the team through every season with unwavering loyalty, and in recent years, she was elated to see them finding success on the field. Her enthusiasm for the Lions became a shared joy among her friends and family, who admired her optimism and spirit.
In 1986, Kristen married her beloved husband, Kenneth Bohannon, and together they built a life full of love and memories. Though their time together was too short, Kristen's devotion to Kenneth and the life they shared left a lasting impact.
She was also deeply grateful for the bond she shared with her family. Kristen is survived by her sisters, Kerry Lester and Kimberly Koester; nephews, Craig Lester and Curtis Koester; niece, Samantha Matthews; great nephew, Nathan Lester; and Elizabeth Lester.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, and her brother, Kelly Koester. Kristen's memory will be cherished by all who knew her for her warmth, kindness, and loyalty. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
