On July 29, 2024, the world lost a truly remarkable soul with the passing of Kristi Michelle Finley in Marietta, Georgia. She fought a long hard 3-year battle with metastatic melanoma. Kristi was a shining light to all who knew her, and her legacy will forever inspire those whose lives she touched.

Kristi was born at Deaconess Hospital on June 6, 1973, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where her compassionate spirit and determined nature were evident from a young age. She carried these qualities throughout her life, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Throughout her illustrious professional career spanning 18 years at Gexpro, Kristi exemplified dedication and hard work. Her colleagues remember her as a reliable and loyal employee who always strived for excellence in everything she did.

Outside of work, Kristi found joy and solace in various hobbies and interests that brought her immense happiness. From being an active board member of the OU Club of Atlanta to indulging in horseback riding and cheering on OU football, Kristi's zest for life was truly infectious.

Kristi's educational journey was marked by achievements as well. A proud graduate of Lassiter High School and Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, she cherished her time spent in the high school marching band while forming lifelong friendships along the way.

A true fighter at heart, Kristi was deeply involved in charitable endeavors, notably as a board member of Paint Georgia Pink in addition to the Atlanta Parrott Head Club. Her dedication to helping others reflected her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment in making a difference in the world.

Kristi's family was at the center of her universe. She is survived by her adoring parents Steve & Beth Finley, devoted brother Brian Finley & wife Beth, brave nephew Sam Finley serving his country overseas in the Army National Guard, adored great-nephew Rowan, cherished uncles and aunts Barry & Marjean DeBruin, Edward & Rena Snider, Jerry & Elaine Hudson, Loraine Hosteter; godfather Lanny Sander; her faithful dog Bentley, loving neighbors, along with numerous cousins and friends whom she held dear. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, SFC Leo & Alpha Platz and Rev. & Mrs. W. N. Snider, and her beloved canine companion Athena.

In remembrance of Kristi Michelle Finley's life well-lived, a visitation will be held on August 3, 2024, between the hours of 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services followed by a Celebration of Life event that will begin at 2:00 PM. Her memory will continue to live on through all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

To honor Kristi’s wishes, please dress casually and wear OU attire or colors, or your favorite collegiate team attire.

Kristi will be laid to rest in her beloved Oklahoma, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Kristi’s name to OU Club of Atlanta Scholarship Fund to honor her.

Although Kristi may have left this world too soon, her spirit will forever shine brightly as a beacon of love and hope for us all. Rest peacefully now dear Kristi; your laughter and kindness will echo through our hearts for eternity.

You will be deeply missed!
