Kristi Camille Palmer, 56, of
Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in her home on November 18, 2025 after her courageous battle with breast cancer.
Kristi was born on September 3, 1969, in McAlester, Oklahoma, and grew up in
Chickasha, OK. Kristi had a rare and beautiful way of making everyone around her feel like they mattered. She could light up a room with her smile, her humor, and her infectious energy. Always put together, nails done, ready with a joke or a kind word, Kristi made people feel seen, loved, and understood.
Her family was the center of her world. Kristi welcomed her only child, son, Sharod Hoffman, on July 28, 1986, and being his mother was her greatest joy. She loved cheering him on at every game following him all over the state through high school and college for football, celebrating his successes, and standing beside him through every challenge. She formed a special, mother-daughter bond with Krystan, which grew into a true friendship filled with love, trust, and laughter.
Kristi adored her mother, Phyllis Houston, and their relationship was one of unshakable love and lifelong companionship. Her devotion to her mother reflected the depth of her heart - a heart that extended naturally to her grandchildren, Aedyn and Karter. She was "Gigi" in the fullest sense of the word: a grandmother who brought joy, fun, and unconditional love into their lives. They could do no wrong. With Aedyn, and as she called him "pumpkin face", cheered proudly at basketball, soccer, and football games, always his loudest fan. With Karter and as she called her "baby cakes", she shared Barbies, kitchen adventures, and shopping trips that became treasured memories. She also carried the memories of her three grandchildren who passed before her: Davin, Kyran, and Kingstyn, holding them close in her heart.
Later in life, Kristi married Robert Palmer, her partner, companion, and love. Their relationship was filled with care, laughter, and steady devotion - the kind of love that is quiet, profound, and enduring.
Kristi worked for many years as a baker at Homeland bakery, where her humor, kindness, and radiant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Kristi's life was a testament to love, joy, and generosity. She laughed loudly and loved fiercely. She will be remembered for the light she brought, the warmth she shared, and the countless lives she touched.
Kristi is survived by her husband, Robert Palmer; her son, Sharod Hoffman, and his wife, Krystan; Step children Lane Palmer and wife Payton. Felecia Summers; her mother, Phyllis Houston and husband Steven Houston; her siblings, Phil Hoffman and wife, Yolanda Hoffman, LaToya Trammell and LaTasha Hoffman and her grandchildren, Aedyn and Karter Hoffman, Peri and Presley Palmer, Shyli and Kasen Edwards. And a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Hoffman, and her grandchildren, Davin, Kyran, and Kingstyn Hoffman.
