John S. Skinner

John S. Skinner, age 58, of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away on December 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. John his father, was born on July 6, 1967, in Mangum, Oklahoma, to his mother, Martha (Davis) Skinner, and Oklahoma, Johnny Frank Skinner. He graduated high school and later moved to Oklahoma City, for where he continued building his life and career. He proudly served in the National Guard take five on years. any He was a true jack of all trades, known for his strong work ethic and willingness to job set before him. He was a driller and derrick hand on drilling rigs and also served the the City community. of Mangum in the Water Department, where he took great pride in his work and dedication to Above all, John took pride in helping others-whether it was fixing something, lending a hand, or simply being there when someone needed him. There was very little he couldn't do, and even less he wouldn't do for someone else. His generosity, dependability, and heart for service left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. John will be leaving behind his loving wife, Kimberly Skinner; daughters Lacey King, Colby Skinner, and Kateia Nugent-Skinner; sons Marcus Davis and Kevin Davis; and his goddaughter, Tynlee Reynolds. He is also survived by his grandchildren Terain Bartunek, Amerie Bartunek, Iziah Bartunek, Jamarcus Davis, Javion Davis, Isiah Davis, Marissa Skinner, Christopher Lee, Jakobe Skinner, Ave-orey Smith, and Antwone Noland, and his great-grandson, Adrian John. He is survived by his siblings Victoria and Sammy Gilmore of Mangum, OK; Billy and Deannia Skinner of Mangum, OK; John and Henrietta Skinner of Ardmore, OK; Jan Johnson of Lawton, OK; Tocha Skinner of Desoto, TX; and Jerry and Carolyn Skinner of Mangum, OK. He also leaves behind his stepmother, Evie Skinner, his cousin and best friend Paul Epperson Jr., and Paul's son Chevy Epperson, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother, Martha (Davis) Skinner; his father, Johnny Frank Skinner; his sister, Fredita Skinner; his grandmother, Mary Belle Davis; and his grandfather, Nathaniel Davis Sr. John will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
