Kristi Warmoth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hahn Funeral Home on Jan. 29, 2026.
Kristi L. Warmoth, 78, was born on August 28, 1946, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to the late Earl Winebrenner and Betty Jean Winebrenner. She passed away surrounded by love and family, on January 28, 2026.

Kristi married Danny Warmoth on August 8, 1988, and together they blended a large and loving family. She was a devoted mother and stepmother to Lonnie, Matthew, Douglas, Danny, John, and Christine.

Early in life, Kristi worked as a receptionist at the old St. Joseph Hospital, a role she was very proud of. Shortly before marrying Danny, she left her position there and began a new chapter, one she would come to cherish deeply. Kristi became a devoted mother and homemaker, a role that brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Later, she explored a career in real estate, though it lasted only a few years before she retired. Retirement didn't slow her down; instead, she stayed busy working in quilting shops-an ideal fit given her deep love for quilting. Kristi was a longtime member of the Niles Quilting Guild, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her creativity and talent.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Warmoth; her children Lonnie Kizer, Matthew Kizer, Douglas (Annis) Kizer, and stepchildren Christine (Brian) Hoggatt and John Warmoth; her grandchildren Mitchell (Andelisia) , Nicholas, Robbie (Brittny), Ryan (Bailey), Patrick (Halie), Jaclyn, Becca (Tim), and Kevin; her great-grandchildren Layne, Zander, Lennox, Renley, Caden, Brynn, Sam, and Crew; her daughter-in-law, Carol Warmoth; her siblings, Judy and Larry as well as many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her stepson, Danny Warmoth Jr and her siblings, Jerry and Gary.

A visitation for Kristi will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM- 2:00PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Center for Hospice Care and Comfort One Hospice for their compassionate care for Kristi and their support.
