Kristina "Kris" Marie Miller (Stroh), 58, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in her hometown of
Gig Harbor, Washington. Born June 10, 1967, in Tacoma, Kris lived a life defined by humility, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Kris grew up in Gig Harbor and graduated with the Gig Harbor High School Class of 1985. From an early age, she was rooted in the values of hard work and family, spending her high-school years working for the family business, Stroh's Feed and Garden. Those years shaped her love for gardening, nature, and nurturing the people and things she cared about.
These last years, Kris served as office manager and bookkeeper for her brother's business. Her meticulous nature and reliable work ethic made her invaluable and someone her family could always count on.
Kris was involved in the local soccer community for many years. She volunteered for numerous youth soccer organizations, serving in roles ranging from team manager for competitive travel teams to contributing her time on the Pierce County Soccer Association board to co-chairing the hosting of the State Cup Finals for Washington Youth Soccer.
Outside of her work and service, Kris found joy in life's simple but beautiful pleasures. She loved the ocean, with Newport, Oregon holding a particularly special place in her heart a cherished escape she shared often with her husband. Her home gardens were her pride and joy, especially her hydrangeas. She could often be found tending lovingly to her flower beds, ensuring they bloomed vibrantly throughout spring and summer.
Kris was also an avid supporter of her favorite teams the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, and the Tacoma Rainiers. She and her husband treasured their half-season Rainiers tickets and the many memories made watching games together.
Above all else, Kris's life revolved around her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dave Miller, and their three sons: Davey, Brandon, and Tyler Miller. She was a proud and adoring "Gramma" to Lillian, Lucy, Lola, and Callum, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Kris was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Stroh, whose memory she cherished deeply. She is also survived by her father Rick Stroh, sister Michelle Biehl, and brother Eric Stroh, along with extended family members who loved her deeply.
Kris will be remembered as humble, loyal, supportive, and thoughtful a woman whose quiet strength and steady presence shaped every life she touched. Her legacy endures in the family she cherished, the communities she served, and the countless moments of kindness she offered without hesitation.
She will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
