Kristine "Krissy" Knezevich Obituary
Winterville, NC.... Kristine Roberta Knezevich, age 53, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the East Carolina University Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
Born in the Panama Canal Zone, she was the daughter of the late Milorad Robert Knezevich and Barbara Ann Smith Knezevich. Krissy was raised as a military brat, but her roots are in Pittsburgh, PA and she was a die-hard fan of all of Pittsburgh's sports teams, but especially the Steelers. She was a past president of the Pee Dee Pride hockey team in Florence, SC. She enjoyed playing games with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and loved all her animals. Krissy worked as a safety and sales specialist for Thermo Fisher Scientific, starting in Kingstree, SC and most recently in Winterville, NC. She was always the life of the party and had an infectious personality that everyone loved. Krissy definitely left her mark in this world and in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is survived by two sisters, Sherry Portillo of Sumter, SC, and Deb Knezevich of Athens, TN; three uncles, Steve Knezevich and his wife Nancy, Mel Knezevich, and George Smith and his husband Roger, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Pam Osborne, two brothers-in-law, Art Osborne and Joe Portillo, and a great niece, Devyn Jewell.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Fleming officiating. The interment will follow the funeral service in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
