Kristine P. McLaughlin, age 69, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of Paul J. McLaughlin, Sr., who passed away in 2007, and with whom she shared 30 years of marriage.

Kristine was born in Buffalo, NY, to the late Bob and Betty Prengle. Growing up, she and her siblings lived in many places around the country and the world as members of the DuPont family of employees. Even in adulthood, Kristine always looked for opportunities to try new foods or practice her French.
She lived most of her life in Chester County, PA, where she raised two children and was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square. She was a proud graduate of Goldy Beacom College and worked as an administrative assistant for several companies throughout her career. Her longest position was with AIG insurance in Wilmington, DE. In her spare time, she loved baking and trying new experiences like singing in choirs and participating in community theater.

Most of all, Kristine will be remembered for her fierce dedication and love for her family, including for those outside traditional family bonds, whom she treated as her chosen family. She relished the successes of her grandchildren, and she bragged about them endlessly. Later in her life, she dedicated herself to helping raise them, particularly her granddaughter Liliana and grandson Isaiah.

She is survived by her son, Paul J. McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Coyne of Philadelphia, PA; her daughter, Megan S. McLaughlin and her partner David Jones, Jr. of West Melbourne, FL; seven grandchildren, Liliana, Isaiah, Elijah, Jocelyn, David, Ta'Leah, and Thomas; her brother, Mark Prengle and his wife Diane Prengle of Conway, SC; and her sister, Rebecca Prengle, of Port St. Lucie, FL. In addition to her husband Paul, Kristine was preceded in death by her brother Robert Prengle; and her grandson, Daniel McLaughlin.

A memorial service in Kristine's honor will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date, to be announced. Burial will be in Kennett Square, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community of Hope, P.O. Box 1253, Melbourne, FL, 32902-1253.
