Kristopher Rodney Chesser

Mr. Kristopher Rodney Chesser, 40, passed away on Friday January 9, 2026, at the HCA FL Lake City Hospital suddenly. He is the son of Earl Rodney and Lorena Ary Chesser. Is preceded in death by two brothers Jeremey and Dustin Sweeney, one aunt Linda Blanchett, two uncles Larry and Dale Ary, a niece Kayzlee Chesser, and a nephew Sprout Chesser. Kristopher was a lifelong resident of Lake City and attended Hopeful Baptist Church and enjoyed flying his drone, tinkering and fixing things, fishing and being on the Suwannee and Santa Fe River, helping family and friends in whatever may need to be done. But his greatest accomplishment in the world was being a daddy to his son and daughter Ayden and Briella Chesser.

Kristopher is survived by his two children, Ayden and Briella Chesser, his father and mother, Earl and Lorana, and his dad, Randy Sweeny. Two brothers, Kenneth Chesser (Katie), O' Brien, Fl, and Travis Sweeny, Lake City, FL. His aunts Loretta Perdue (Ed Church) Lake City, FL; Della Nyman (Jimmy), MacClenny, FL, and Alice Ary, Auburndale, FL. His uncles are Don Ary (Patty) Springboro, OH; and Reggie Chesser (Mildred) Albuquerque, NM. His niece, Kalynn Chesser, and his nephews, Landon Chesser (Evelyn), Logan Chesser, and Tristian Cox. And a host of extended family also survive.

A celebration of life for Kristopher Rodney Chesser will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Gateway Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Brandon Cole officiating. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend service. In lieu of flowers family asks donations be made to his mother to help with this tragic event.
