It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Krysta Lea Campbell, 35, on August 3, 2025. Born on March 14, 1990, she was the beloved daughter of Jody Mazurek and Jerry Campbell.

Krysta graduated from Oakridge High School in 2008 She was known for her great sense of humor and her unrestrained laugh. She loved simple things- the beach, good music, and her family, friends, and her cat, Karma, as well as Dr. Pepper.

Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her loved ones. Especially her dear children, and many more whose lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, Krysta is survived by her children, Braxton Nelson and Journee Waldron, her brother, Justin Morse, her sisters, Madilyn Campbell and Elsie Campbell, her step mother, Helen Campbell, her step father, David Lockhart, grandparents, Luellen DeWall and Ray Gustafson, special great aunt, Cathy Becker, a large extended family and many dear friends; including her close childhood friend, Kendra Houston.

She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Nicolas Morse, her maternal grandfather, Peter Mazurek, and her paternal grandmother, Charline Kalman.

A celebration of Krysta's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Park Meadows Mobile Home Park Community Room, 210 Giles Road, Muskegon, MI 49445.
