Kyle Robert Kriech

Kyle Robert Kriech, beloved son, brother, coach, and friend, passed away on September 21, 2024, at the age of 36. Born on October 20, 1987, to Sally and Steven Kriech, Kyle grew up in Fort Walton Beach & Destin, Florida, where he discovered his passion for baseball and made friendships that would last a lifetime. If you thought of Kyle Kriech, you automatically thought of baseball.
Kyle's talent and dedication to the sport led him to play college baseball at Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC), affectionately known as "O-dubb," before continuing his career at Jacksonville University. He went on to play in the minor leagues, where he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals, chasing his dreams with the same determination and love that defined his life.
After his playing days were over, Kyle found his true calling as a coach, where his love for the game deepened. Coaching was more than just a job to Kyle; it was his passion, his joy, and his motivation to keep pushing forward each day. He touched the lives of many young athletes, helping them grow both on and off the field. Kyle's impact on those he coached is immeasurable, and his legacy will continue in the hearts of the players he mentored.
Kyle is survived by his loving parents, Sally and Steven Kriech; his siblings, Leslie Wessler, Jeremy Kriech, Joseph Kriech, and Kerri Kriech; and countless friends, teammates, and athletes who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he may be gone, Kyle's memory lives on in every game played, every athlete he inspired, and every life he touched.
While Kyle left us far too soon, the impact he had on our community will be felt for years to come. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
To honor Kyle's memory, a service will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Visitation begins at 12:00pm followed by the service at 1:00pm.
