Shawn J. Kriech

CANFIELD - Shawn J. Kriech, 53, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes, Monday, June 13, 2022, at his summer home on Haywood Beach at Geneva on the Lake.
Shawn was born July 1, 1968, in Youngstown, a son of Thomas S. and Carol Crozier Kriech, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1986 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Art Education from Youngstown State University.
Shawn worked at Giant Eagle and other local stores. Most recently he was employed at Fireline Inc. in Youngstown.
He greatly enjoyed collecting comic books, football and baseball cards, and other collectibles. He also enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower garden at his home in Haywood Beach.
Shawn leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Carol Kriech of Canfield; aunts and uncles, Terri (Jack) Glenellen, Joan Kriech Stranix, Jean Mastrovaselis, and Richard (Barb) Crozier; cousins Shanna (Brian) Glenellen-Laraway, Matt Glenellen, Rick (Mary) Crozier, Tom (Kim) Crozier, Deby Fulton, and Joel Kroliski; and his nieces and nephew, Stephen, Luna, Lucy, and Hannah.
Shawn will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His father, Thomas Kriech, a brother, Jody Kriech, grandparents, Earl and Betty Scott Crozier and Steve and Clara Gleydura Kriech, and a niece, Cheyenne Kriech preceded Shawn in death.
Per Shawn's request, there will be no calling hours or services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
