GIRARD - Ralph Gary Kerby, 88, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, Oct. 30, 2025, at Hospice House, with his family by his side.
Ralph was born Oct. 24, 1937, in Grafton, West Virginia, a son of the late Lucille Vandergrift Kerby. He was a 1956 graduate of Grafton High School and moved to Girard with his family in 1970.
Known to family and friends as Gary, he worked at Commercial Shearing/Commercial Intertech and finished his career at Parker Hannifin, retiring in 1999 after 30 years of service.
He was a member of First Congregational Church of Wayne Center and greatly enjoyed the outdoors. In his younger years, Gary loved fishing. He also enjoyed collecting trains, visiting casinos with his wife and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathryn "Kay" Harger Kerby, whom he married Jan. 11, 1963; his son, Charles Kerby of Girard; four grandchildren, including Brian Kerby; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Bob Kerby of North Madison; his sister-in-law, Trudi Shook-Bassett of Strongsville; his brother-in-law, Charles Harger of Crown Point, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Gary will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
