Kyle Alan Malone, age 42, of Grapeland passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 in Tyler, after a very hard battle with lung cancer. Kyle was born in Crockett to parents, Darrell Lynn Malone and Terrie Lyn Eggleston Malone. He was a graduate of Latexo High School, class of 2001. Kyle was the true definition of a blue collar worker, having many skills and working in various fields, including a surveyor, rancher, mechanic, hauling, rig worker, and as a plastics plant supervisor.
Kyle married the love of his life and had four amazing children who will proudly carry on his legacy and his personality. He had many interests including fishing, hunting, baseball, collecting petrified wood, arrow heads, cooking breakfast for his family, ribs on the smoker and always trying new seasonings.
Kyle had a great sense of humor, he comically adored himself thinking he was the best dancer, the best cook, and the best looking man in the room. He was sarcastic and loved to poke fun at those he cared about the most. Kyle was a grown child who loved to have fun, goofing off and was rarely serious. He was a cannon ball champion, silly salmon flopper, always impressing everyone with his diving board skills. Kyle had a lot of life-long close friends that were like family and had no enemies - he just got along with everyone. He was a hard worker and was always willing to drop what he was doing to go lend a hand to help someone in need.
Most importantly, Kyle was very active in his children's lives including sports, coaching their baseball teams, helping with FFA including raising rabbits. Kyle always fought saying yes to any new pets at home because of allergies, but fell in love with every single one of the animals and couldn't help spoiling his babies.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Megan Osborn Malone; children, Colby Hooks Malone, Hailey Malone, Asa Malone, and Cooper Malone of Grapeland; mother, Terrie Roberts and husband, Lee of Ft Collins, CO; sister, Ann Roberts of Ft Thornton, CO; brother, Blake Roberts and wife, Anna of Creeley, CO; aunts, Robbie Hall and husband, Allen of Brashear, Susan Tran and husband, Trung of Rowlett; cousins: Josh Hall, Cory and Kevin Tran, Ginger Nunn; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mike and Lori Osborn of Alto; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Michele and Ryan Kettle of Fort Worth, Mandi Osborn of Latexo, Kelly and JJ Hinton of Fischer, Michael Osborn of Fort Worth, Jason Osborn of Decatur, AL, Joseph Osborn of Tracy, CA; nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Darrell Malone; grandparents, Freida "Meme" Matlock, James "Pap" Eggleston, Alma Sue Black, and Donald Malone; uncle, Gregory Malone.
Funeral services for Kyle Alan Malone will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Harvest Church with Pastor Leon Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at the Latexo Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Malone Children at Prosperity Bank in Crockett or Grapeland.
