Kyle Moore Obituary
Kyle Moore passed away October 6, 2025, from complications from a stroke he had earlier this year. Kyle and his twin brother Tyler were born in Spokane to Dennie and Stan Moore on August 22, 1971, joining their big sister Molly. Kyle attended Hamblen Elementary School, Sacajawea Junior High, and Ferris High School. He then graduated from Eastern Washington University with English and Education degrees; he later earned his Masters in Education from WSU. Kyle taught for 20 years at Shaw Middle School in Spokane and was later an adjunct professor at Spokane Community College for six years. He loved his teaching career, and we often heard from former students and their parents how much Kyle meant to them.
When Kyle was five, Dennie married Carl Crowe, the dad Kyle loved for nearly fifty years. The newly blended family took wonderful trips, played a lot of card and board games, and, much to Kyle's delight, watched and rooted on the Seahawks, Huskies, Mariners, Eagles and Zags. Kyle grew up surrounded by a large extended, loving family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kyle's love for and from his family always meant so much to him.
Kyle, not a stranger to difficult challenges, was resilient in his efforts to overcome them. This past year provided a turning point for him, and the commitment he made for his own self-improvement impacted not just him, but those around him. With an exceptionally positive attitude, Kyle was starting on a new path to a healthier and happier life. The success he experienced reflected his hard work. We all shared in the pride he felt in himself as he grew stronger.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Dennie and Carl Crowe; his sister Suzanne Holm (Mark); his sister Molly Alexander (Shawn); his brother Tyler Moore (Lori); his sister Jennifer Morris (Scott). In addition, Kyle also has many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom he fiercely loved. Special thanks to Mitch, Connie and Jack Jensen. We will all love and miss you forever, Kyle.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Kyle's name to HEART (Homeless Education and Resource Team) at Spokane School District; 200 N Bernard; Spokane, WA 99201.
A celebration of Kyle's life will be held at Twigs Bistro at 4320 S Regal from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, October 13th. Dress is casual, but in memory of Kyle, please wear a favorite jersey or sports attire.
