Kyle Christopher Sawyer, born on September 24, 1976, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 47. Kyle was the beloved son of Peter Sawyer and Katherine Sawyer. He attended Hillcrest High School, graduating in 1996, and went on to study photography at Richland College, where he earned an Associate's Degree. His talent in photography was recognized early on, as he was twice sponsored by Kodak in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Kyle's professional journey led him into the hospitality industry, where he worked at multiple establishments, including Lakehouse Bar and Grill and Rex's Seafood Market. His warmth and passion for connecting with others made him a cherished colleague and friend in the industry.
An active member of his community, Kyle was a proud member of the Tuesday Whiskey Society and served as the Chairman of The Steamboat Whiskey Society, where his leadership and camaraderie left a lasting impact on those around him.
Kyle met his future wife at 17 while at Hillcrest, they kept in touch over the many years and finally after 22 years, asked her out on a date, to the great Texas State Fair. Their love and admiration for each other was unbridled. In June of 2020, Kyle proposed at the top of Simm's Hill in Pickton, TX, under a beautiful sunset. They married in November of 2021 at his family farm, surrounded by friends and loved ones from near and far. Together, they shared a deep bond, creating many cherished memories over the years.
Kyle had a lifelong love for learning and travel. He even took the opportunity to study Spanish at the Spanish Language Institute in Cuernavaca, Mexico, further expanding his cultural horizons.
Kyle is survived by his loving wife, Brandi Coleman, and his ever faithful border collie, Finley, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, creativity, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
