Kyle Siska Obituary
Kyle John Siska, beloved son, brother, and loyal friend, passed away on Monday, March 31 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Kyle's earthly journey began August 18, 1988, when he was welcomed, with great joy, by his parents, Jim and Sherry Siska, who survive him. He is also survived by his younger siblings and first best friends, Matt Siska and Lindsey Siska, along with Matt's wife, Taylor Stoltz; their son, Marshall Siska; and, Lindsey's husband, Eric Villeneuve.
Friendship and love for others were the foundations of Kyle's life. Some of his best memories were made with the neighborhood friends he made growing up in Salem, Virginia. Kyle and Matt, along with Thor, Jonathon, Kenneth, Eric, and Corey, spent hours together, playing backyard wiffle ball, shooting hoops, riding their bikes to the swim club, playing Mario Kart and Goldeneye on the N64, and bugging the poor receptionist at Dominion Dodge by taking over the customer waiting room as if they owned the place.
Later, when Kyle joined the cross country and track teams at Salem High School, from which he graduated in 2006, Kyle made yet another set of beloved friends. He especially loved his 4x800 and cross country teammates, Kent, Dustin, and Eric M.
During his high school years Kyle also became active in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help church youth group, which lead to his involvement in Catholic Heart Work Camp and the Diocesan Youth Council. This statewide group provided him with yet another set of enduring friendships, especially with Brandon and Jenna, who were both loyal friends for the remainder of his life.
After high school, Kyle's success as an 800 specialist led him to join the track team at James Madison University. While he was only able to be on the team for one year because it was sadly eliminated by the school, Kyle loved his four years as a JMU Duke. On his very first day, he walked into his dorm room and found another best friend, Alex. Along with his brother Matt, Kyle, Brandon, and Alex became the infamous "four horsemen", known for their love of JMU, Metallica, and each other.
In 2010, following graduation armed with a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Kyle joined the Edward Jones financial advisor training program in St. Louis, Missouri. There he met and immediately bonded over a shared love of music with Cody, who became his other very best friend.
After a stint in Richmond, Virginia working for Edward Jones and Wells Fargo, in 2014 Kyle accepted a position with Russell Investments and he and his beloved dog, Roxy, moved to Milwaukee. Despite being a life long Cincinnati Reds and zealous Cincinnati Bengals fan, Kyle eventually embraced his new town and grew to love watching the Bucks and the Brewers. Although he had respect for the team, he did not, however, become a Packers fan.
Kyle loved living in his condo on the Riverwalk and being near the lake, snowboarding, and riding his bike, but it was his colleagues and the friends, such as DeAngelo, who made Milwaukee truly feel like home to him.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe Marshall and Michael Siska; his beloved aunt, Pam Marshall; his uncle Tom Dowdy; and, his close friend and uncle, Michael Siska.
In addition to his parents and his siblings and their families, he is also survived by his grandmothers, Audrey Siska and Judy Marshall; his Uncle Terry Marshall and Aunt Aimee Marshall; his other aunts, Jane Dowdy and Mary Siska; and his cousins, Jason Dowdy and his family, Byron Dowdy and his family, Justin Marshall and his family, and Parker Marshall.
Kyle is also survived by his best friends, Brandon and Jenna Shutters and their daughters; Alex Gans; Cody Daniels and his daughter; DeAngelo Williams and his son; and many, many other beloved friends.
If asked, Kyle would give the advice to always look for the joy in life, to celebrate your family and friendships, and to never miss an opportunity to give a hug and say "I love you" to the special people in your life.
Kyle was a kind, generous, and loving man with a huge heart. In his memory, please consider performing a random act of kindness or "paying it forward". If you wish to make a donation to honor his memory, consider https://madacc.org/, https://rainbowbridgerescue.org/ https://www.remembermeranch.org/, or a local food pantry, as helping animals and those struggling in life were important to him.
A celebration of Kyle's life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church in Salem, Virginia. In the meantime, celebrate Kyle's life and if you come across a Bengal's fan, don't forget to give them a "Who Dey" in his honor.
