Kynath Terry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Poole Funeral Chapels, Inc. on Mar. 11, 2026.
June 6, 2006 - March 1, 2026

Kynath "KT" Williams-Terry, a driven and beloved son, brother, and soldier, passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 19. Born on June 6, 2006, KT's life was defined by a strong work ethic, a commitment to service, and a deep love for his family and community.

A Legacy of Hard Work and Service
KT's spiritual journey began at an early age when he was baptized at Zion Hill Baptist Church. He carried those values of faith and dedication into every chapter of his life.

Known for his hustle and determination, KT started his professional journey at the age of 16, landing his first job at TopGolf. This early experience set the stage for a lifetime of productivity. While attending Midfield High School, KT demonstrated a natural talent for hands-on work, immersing himself in barbering classes and the Academy of Craft Training for HVAC. Through the trade school, his skill and reliability earned him a position with TrinityContractors while still in high school.

KT's commitment to his country led him to join the Alabama National Guard, where he served as a diesel mechanic. Most recently, he brought his energy and reliability to his work at the Dollar General Warehouse.

A Heart for Family
Beyond his professional achievements, KT was a loving son, brother, grandson, and nephew. He was a pillar of support for his large and vibrant family, always offering a steady presence. To his many brothers and sisters, he was a protector; to his parents and grandparents, he was a source of immense pride.

Family and Friends
KT is preceded in death by his grandmother, Beverly Williams; his aunt, Linda Mott; his stepfather, Deangelo Lumpkin; and his best friend, Amarion Franklin.

His memory will be forever cherished by his parents of Birmingham, AL, Lawnkrisia Brown and Lamond Williams(Patricia Lewis).

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his six sisters of Birmingham, AL: Kynterrica Terry, Monyae Williams, Aaliyah Wilson, Lauren Lumpkin, and adopted sisters RayShawn and RayAnn Bester; and his seven brothers of Birmingham, AL: De'Mario Brown, Deangelo Lumpkin, De'Ontai Lumpkin, Lamond Williams Jr., Montavius Williams, and Kyson Williams.

He is also survived by his devoted grandparents of Birmingham, AL: Cleatrice (Kenneth) Duncan, Alishia (Johnny) Clark, Myron (Valerie) Lumpkin, Lawrence Rogers, and Doris Walker; his aunts of Birmingham, AL: Marilynisha (NeeNee) Brown, Latevia Williams, Jessica King, Lakenya and Nakenna Duncan; uncles: Gerrald Maddox, Kevin and Kendall Thomas; great aunts: Jean Samuels, JoAnn Jones, Annette Jones, and Raquel Foreman; great uncle Andre Williams; and god uncles Jermaine Crum, MarDreques Bascomb, and James Hicks.

His absence will be deeply felt by his childhood best friends: Malcome (Mac), Jimmy (JD), Jerian, Timothy, Truman, Marques, and Juanderrius.
