Kyu Yong Yi, age 93, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas. He was born on April 17, 1932, in An Sung, South Korea.
A skilled handyman, Mr. Yi found joy in home improvement projects and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He also loved gardening and cooking for others - gifts he generously shared with those around him. Deeply rooted in faith, he was an active member of his Korean church community.
Kyu was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hung Yi, and his son, Tu Yong Yi.
Kyu is survived by his sons, Pom Yong Yi, Song Yong Yi, and In Yi; daughters, Kyong H. Bulsterbaum and son-in-law, Billy F. Bulsterbaum, and Hae Yoon; and extended family members. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and many friends.
A visitation to honor Mr. Yi's life will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., both at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas. Interment will follow at Brock Cemetery.
