A Memorial Service for Karlene Beach will be held on 11:00am Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Frist Congregational Church in Franklin, Nebraska with Pastor Jay Towell officiating. She will be laid to rest by her son Scott Beach at Hildreth Cemetery, Hildreth Nebraska.
Karlene Beach, 78 years of age, of West Des Moines, Iowa passed away Friday November 15, 2024 at the Cedar Ridge Village in West Des Moines, Iowa. Karlene was born January 27, 1946 in Philips County Kansas, the fourth of five children to Raymond C. and Helen R. (Young) Rodenbaugh. She graduated from Franklin High School where she met the love of her life Lloyd Beach.
The two married right after her graduation from high school in 1964 and celebrated 60 years together this year. They had two children Scott Allen and Jennifer Jo. Jennifer went on to marry Eric Barp and had two children Lexi & Tyler Barp. Karlene worked in Insurance her whole life until retirement and enjoyed fishing, camping and collecting glassware. After living in Nebraska most of her life, in 2016, Lloyd and she moved to Iowa to be closer to family. Her grandchildren were especially important to her and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them.
Karlene was proceeded in death by her son Scott Allen Beach, her parents Raymond and Helen Rodenbaugh, her brothers Roy C Rodenbaugh and Bobby Rodenbaugh, Sisters Darlene Harper and Marlene Wiles, brother-in-law Roger Wiles, brother and sister-in-law Lee and Nancy Beach, in-laws Harold and Bonnie (Kelso) Beach.
She leaves to celebrate her life, husband Lloyd Beach, daughter Jennifer Barp and husband Eric Barp, grandchildren Lexi and Tyler, sister-in-law Wanda Rodenbaugh, brother and sister-in-law Larry and Ginger Beach, brother and sister-in-law Ron and Carol Beach, numerous cousins and countless nieces and nephews.
Hutchins Funeral Home, Franklin, Nebraska assisted the Beach family with these cremation services.
