La'Reece Edwards Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pryority Funeral Experience, LLC on Feb. 19, 2026.
La'Reece Malik Edwards was born to La'Quanta Edwards and Carl Chambers Jr. on May 29, 2012, and left us far too soon on February 1, 2026, at the tender age of 13. Though his time here was brief, his impact was immeasurable.

La'Reece was a bright, smart, and funny young soul whose smile and laughter could light up any room. He had a deep love for sports and carried a natural charm that made everyone around him smile. He truly loved life and embraced all the joy it had to offer.

He was admired and deeply loved by his teachers, counselors, and classmates, who recognized both his potential and the kindness in his heart. At school, La'Reece was well-known, respected, and cherished by many. Beyond school, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life-especially his favorite foods, tacos and Chili's mozzarella sticks, which never failed to make him happy.

Though his time with us was short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and light to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

La'Reece was preceded in death by his mother, Laquanta Edwards, and his brother, J'Quentin.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving father, Carl Jr.; his siblings, Ladaja, Ladarius, Laniya, LaKiya, Latrell, Tyrianna, Zariah, Jerion, and Ja'Caryeon; his grandparents, Carl Sr., Pam, Zeffie, and Tellis; his aunts, Mary (Liz), Jessie, Lakeisha, LaTonya, Andrea, La'Nette, Johnnel, Bobyette, Tammy, and Cecora; and his uncles, Tommy, Stephon, Thomas Jr., Clovis, Arthuray, Jerrell, Demarcus, Tevon, and Tellis Jr., along with a host of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Though he has peacefully transitioned from this life, La'Reece's spirit, laughter, and love will remain with us forever.
