LaDonna Wheat Obituary

LaDonna Kay Wheat

1949-2026

Chandler, AZ-LaDonna Kay Wheat, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and the heart of her family, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 76. She is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Brian Douglas Wheat-known to everyone as Doug, and to her as her sweet Dougie-with whom she shared a profound, lifelong love until his passing on July 3, 2020. After years of carrying his memory close, they are finally together again.

Born on October 18, 1949, LaDonna lived a life filled with quiet strength, fierce loyalty, and boundless love. She built a warm, beautiful, welcoming home where family always came first, and her gentle spirit touched everyone around her. Her greatest joy was watching her children and grandchildren grow, and she poured her heart into every moment shared with them. She treasured every game, school event, holiday gathering, and shopping trip spent with them. Her grandchildren were her pride, her delight, and the living legacy of the love she and Doug shared.

LaDonna is survived by her Children; Chris (Aubrey), Ashley (Wes), and her nine adored grandchildren: Grace, Olivia, Jake, Trent, Brielle, Chloe, Tyler, Will and Ben and her siblings Norma (Calvin), Jerry (Liz), Carol (Alan), and Gail (Dave).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Douglas "Doug" Wheat-her Dougie-the love of her life, whose absence she felt every day until they were reunited; and by her parents, Forrest "Jake" Jacob and his wife, Phyllis.

LaDonna's family takes comfort in knowing she lived a life rich with meaning, surrounded by the love of her family. Her warmth, her devotion, and her endless capacity to care will live on in the hearts of those she held dearest. Though she is gone from our sight, her memory & legacy will continue to guide and comfort her family for years to come.

A celebration of LaDonna's life will be held Saturday, February 28 at Hidden Valley Country Club (11820 Highland Drive, Sandy UT. 85092) at 11:00am. Lunch will be provided after. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you hold your loved ones a little tighter, share a kind word, or simply remember her with a smile-small acts of love that would have warmed her heart.

Rest in peace, Mom. You are loved beyond words, forever remembered, and deeply missed.
