Lahoma Lewis, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her, departed this world on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 25,1969, to the late James Thomas Jackson Jr. and Brenda Lewis. Lahoma was baptized at the tender age of 9.
She attended Orleans Parish Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade and graduated in 1988 from John McDonogh, home of the Trojans. Lahoma eventually decided to move to Mississippi to continue to raise her children and due to her leadership skills, she became manager of one of the largest retail companies.
She is survived by her mother Brenda Lewis, her siblings Trina Jackson, Kevin Williams, Larry and Kistes Martin, Luciana and Brandon Beard, her children Steven, Clyde, Kendrick (Christian) and Schwanda Lewis.
Lahoma loved her role as a grandmother, showering love and attention onto her 10 grandchildren Lil Steven, Quincy, Stefanie, Ravien, Maurice Lull, Solomon, Kenzie, Kelvin, Madicen and Kennedy Lewis.
Her legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of her mother, siblings, children, grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and those fortunate to have known her.
Lahoma was preceded in death by her grandparents Nora Lee Lewis, James Thomas Jackson Sr., Shirley Rhodes Jackson and her father James Thomas Jackson Jr.
Services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Infinity Funeral Home in Biloxi with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM and service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Garden in New Orleans, LA.
