Lakesha Yvonne Coneway

Funeral services for Ms. Lakesha Yvonne Coneway, of Albany, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11 AM at the Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Lakesha Coneway was born on Monday, May 27, 1974, in Dublin, Georgia, to the parentage of Lavonia Wright Coneway and Eddie Mack Coneway. She departed her earthly home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Deacon Hardred Wright, Sr., and Melvin Coneway; grandmother, Mary Grace Coneway; great-grandmothers, Eula Mae Bell and Minnie Mae Wright; great aunt, Mabel Dixon; uncle, Hardred Wright, Jr., and aunt, Shirley Mae Wright.
She graduated from East Laurens High School in East Dublin, Georgia, in 1992 where she was a member of the track team. She continued her education at Albany State University in Albany, Georgia. During her college years, she was employed at Homerun Foods, Communication Electronic Vendor Corporation, Shoney's, American Legion Post 512, Love's, and Jackson Hewitt Tax Office. She was later employed at UPS, and self-employed with Infinity Tax Group. As a young girl, she was active in Girl Scouts of America. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for Troop 40630 for many years. In 1999, God blessed her with the title of "Mom". She was a loving and devoted mom to her children. She made sure they were active in various activities including church, sports, school activities and many other clubs sponsored by local and national organizations. Lakesha had a special gift for decorating and cooking. She used these gifts to enrich the events of families and friends.
Her memories are left to be cherished by her beloved children, Zh'Mayah K. A. Wicker, Calvin J. Wicker, Christian C. Wicker; mother, Lavonia Wright Coneway; father, Eddie Mack Coneway; sister, Precious H. Coneway; grandmother, Cora Mae Wright; aunts, Gloria Wright Plummer, Marilyn (Jimmy) Blue, Carolyn (Josephus) Miller, Evelyn (Charles) Pauldo, Cindreka (Daniel) Marshall; uncles, Ulysses Coneway and Russell Plummer, Delmario (Erica) Marshall; cousins, Rhoda Wright, Anthony Wright, Stephanie (Buena) Henderson, Jaworski Blue, Karonn (Shanda) Blue, Edward (Gretchen) Pauldo, Sharissa Pauldo, Brittany (Damion) Hamilton, Mario Coneway, Traci Coneway, DeAndre (Carlotta) Coneway, Christopher (Souky) Coneway, Kelvyn Corbett, Kimberlea (Darrell) Owens, Rebecca Grace Wimberly, Donald (Sabrina) Coneway and Willie (Nicki) Coneway, a beloved grand-pup, Daisy-Leigh, and a host of other relatives and family friends.
