Lamoine "Monte" Schuller, 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at MercyOne Johnston Hospice Care.
Funeral services for Monte will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Lamoine F. Schuller was born on July 2, 1938 in Mallard, Iowa to Gene and Ardus Schuller. Monte graduated from Presentation Academy in Whittemore, Iowa in 1956. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1961. He was stationed in Texas, Michigan and Saudi Arabia. On July 19, 1968, Monte was united in marriage to Charlene Smith. Monte had previously done carpentry work in Iowa, but most will know him from working at UPS for twenty-six years from 1969 until his retirement in 1995. Monte had been on the Board of Officers of the Spencer Moose Lodge for six years. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball in his high school years, feeding birds, avid Iowa Hawkeye and Kansas City Chiefs fan, playing the guitar and enjoyed NASCAR. Monte cherished his family and will be missed by his wife, children and grandchildren. "See You Later".
Monte is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Charlene. Children: Micki (Ken) Stonewall of Marshalltown, Pam Schwers of Phoenix, Arizona and Tony (Erin) Schuller of Ankeny. He is also survived by grandchildren: Hannah, Madison, Morgan, Mark, Brett, Mallory, Courtney and Audrey and brother, Randy Schuller.
Monte is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Ardus and a brother, Del Schuller.
